I’m dating a rocket scientist

Me:  So, if you aren’t an international spy, what are you then?

Him:  Well, I do a few things, really.  I have a small business online that takes up a lot of my time, but mostly I am a consultant for a variety of engineering companies that build rockets.

Me:  You help build rockets?

Him:  Yeah, it’s really interesting actually.  (At this point, he explained what he does, exactly, with the rockets, and why he finds it so interesting, at which point I kind of tuned out because it all went way over my head.)

Me:  To clarify… you are a rocket scientist.
